The Saipoyi Community School gymnasium  was filled to capacity as the 3 classes of K5 students graduated on to grade one at Saipoyi School today.  The ceremonies took place in the Saipoyi gym with Lance Scout as MC.  

Marie Shade, SCS Principal welcomed the parents, grandparents other relatives.  Carolyn Weasel Fat, Associate Principal reminded parents to register for the upcoming SY 2012-13.  Linda Weasel Head spoke as a grandparent.  She encouraged those in attendance to keep reading with the students.  On the KBE web site is tips for grandparents for reading and a web site (Reading Rockets) for ideas for books.  

K4 students were also honored and all were given certificates and gifts.  Included this year were prizes of 7 computer and 5 DSI Nintendo XL's.  The 12 extra prizes were drawn from a hat, 2 from each kindergarten class.  The student's who were picked from the hat had to qualify using the 3 - A's criteria - Attendance, attitude & academics.

Parents who volunteered were awarded with a plaque thanking them for their dedication.  

A well-prepared light lunch was enjoyed by parents and bagged lunch was provided for the students.
