The Kainai Board of Education (KBE) is located on a First Nation Reserve located in the southern part of Alberta. The KBE carries out the operations and functions for the delegation of education services from Headstart to Grade 12 within the Kainai community. Having adopted Kainaysinni, the Declaration of the Elders of Kainai, the KBE is committed to excellence in education for the members of Kainai.

1. Kainai Board of Education

Building Collaboration & Capacity in Education

Supervisor = (1) Position = REPOST

 Master of Social Work preferred.

 Ability to apply knowledge in program planning with excellent communication and organizational skills

Learning Support Teachers = (3) Positions = REPOST

 B.Ed., preference will be given to those with a major in Special Education/Reading Specialist

 Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate

Innovation in First Nation Education - Data Manager = (1) Position = REPOST

 Computer Science or related field with proven data management experience

 Ability to apply knowledge in program planning with excellent communication and organizational skills

Human Resources Officer = (1) Position = REPOST

 A post-secondary education in related field is required, CHRP is a definite asset.

 Proficient in use Human Resource Software / Data Base Software.

 Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

2. Tatsikiisaapo’p Middle School for 2018/2019 SY

Associate Principal

 M.Ed preferably

 Must have an accredited Alberta Permanent Teaching Certificate.

Blackfoot Teacher / Instructor – (1)

 Preferably a B.Ed., or equivalent.

 Must be a fluent Blackfoot speaker, experience in writing the language and/or curriculum development is an asset.

3. Head Start for 2018/2019 SY

Instructor = (1) Position

Child Care Worker = (1) Position

 Early Childhood Diploma – Level 2 is required.

 Ability to manage a classroom and arrange classroom environment in accordance to program goals and philosophy

4. Education Partnerships Program

Program Manager = (1) Position

 Masters in Social Work is preferred.

 Demonstrate the ability to manage, administer and supervise
