"The Kainai Board of Education (KBE) recognizes the need to have parents and/or guardians involved in their child's education at the local school level as well as the board level. Therefore, Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) is elected through the KBE Election Process." ~KBE Policy No.100.16
Eligibility for a Parent Advisory Committee:
- Any parent/guardian or grandparent with students registered with the KBE school system may be elected to the PAC for the school of their choice.
- Any parent who has registered his/her child by September of the current school year may be elected into a PAC for the Kainai Board of Education school system.
- At the beginning of each school year the eligibility will be checked as follows:
- The Principal will determine PAC member eligibility to ensure the member continues to have a biological child or grandchild at one of the schools listed above.
- If a PAC member is no longer eligible the Board Chairperson and Superintendent will send a letter of ineligibility to that PAC Member.
- No parent with a criminal record (less than five (5) years from date of nomination, maybe nominated or sit on the PAC.

The PAC are strictly advisory positions and may offer advice, they are not in a hiring, terminating, or disciplining capacity.
- PAC members will not act in a manner, including in their use of social
- media, which brings the KBE into disrepute, this includes its' community
- members such as its schools, staff, students, and administration.
